On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.
We drove through a snow storm tonight, you could barely see in front of you. Inside the car it was as still as it looked outside. It was completely beautiful the purity and wild strength of the snow storm. Fear slightly existed inside me, but I completely trusted my driver.
Stumbling through the last two weeks, I am refreshed this week reading this passage. It brings new meaning and light during the christmas season. We are celebrating the birth of Jesus, no other gift given during this season could measure up to that. The one that silently slipped in during the night, a gift to all mankind entrusted to the humble and lowly servants, who were from the smallest little town. Beautiful and fragile child but full of strength and power. A plan that had been planned long ago. One that will remove the shroud that enfolds all people and swallows up death forever. Full of grace. Now I know what they mean when they say, good things come in small packages.
