lay it on thick.

I experimented with new texture tools last week.  I had an old plastic tube that used to hold large printer paper.  After cutting it to the desired lengths (more like hacking it with whatever sharp object I could find… whew that plastic is thick), I drew different designs on them and went to town with my glue gun.  I bet you could use a plastic pvc pipe to do this as well.  I already had this one, can’t beat free…

It proved to be the perfect depth for rolling over the clay to make unique designs and textures.  I love them and may be addicted to making them.  I almost have a kiln load to fire, most have been altered in some way with my new little texture rolling pins.   Hopefully I don’t muddle the glaze.
