painting the july skies

Thank you cold front – this Michigan girl is not conditioned for the long-suffering of heat.  I have been wrapping up journals in painted silk-scarves and was running low, these are an easy activity for any temperature.  I paint on 21 inch silk squares and use  a japanese wrapping technique called furoshiki Feeling a bit adventurous these wild prints remind me of July fireworks and the milky-way.

Lord of all creation
of water earth and sky
The heavens are your Tabernacle
Glory to the Lord on high

God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are Holy, Holy
The universe declares your Majesty
And you are holy holy

lyrics from Third Day song God of Wonders
