We had a beautiful Thanksgiving. We have a long tradition of logging hours in the cold mid-west kitchen followed by “stuffing.” I was so thankful for a chance to rest and re-charge this year with our family somewhere warm. We added a few days at Disney (my first time ever!) for the girls birthdays and followed it up with a few days by the sea. We still got our ice cream (some of us daily…) just with little chocolate mickey ears. It was a bit magical all around for our family. Now that I’ve had some sun let the merry season begin.

- Going to see Incredibles 2 for Father’s Day... these folks were ahead of us, feeling like our family is underdressed 😳!Sometimes you just need to take the matter into your own hands... I’ve been wanting to paint a cornhole set for some time. I was giddy when I saw this class offered at my local Home Depot. Tonight I built my own boards... now to choose a design. Let the lawn games begin! The early bird gets the shmear. The little one wanted to get up early and be one of the first fifty people at a new Einstein’s by our house. The older child chose to sleep in. I’m thinking natural consequences may come into play at some point...Behind the smiles there were a few tears... We loved our neighbors on Thornhill; these girls and their mamas! They were such an answer to prayer when we moved here. We have been renting in Colorado for the last two years and the owner wanted to move back in. 😓Thankfully we were able to find a new home to purchase nearby and make it a bit more of our own. Trusting the bond that was formed and biker gang will never be broken!Last day of school!!! So proud of my gold metal academic girls, they rocked their classes with perfect scores. We woke up early this morning to watch the royal wedding. This afternoon we toasted the new couple with high tea and fascinators!
